Easy slice goat’s cheese

 

Staple Food Group has added a 1kg Cuisine Goat’s Cheese Log to its continental cheese range. The soft cheese offers a clean, tangy flavour with a smooth texture, and the log format makes it easy to slice, crumble or portion. Use in salads, sandwiches, flatbreads or tarts, or serve with fruit and honey.

Plant-based pulled meat

 

Novameat has launched Pulled Lamb Style and Pulled Pork Style plant-based protein. The plant-based lamb replicates lamb’s flavour and mouthfeel and is made using Novameat’s MicroForce technology, and the shredded pulled pork is perfect in burritos, bowls and stews. Both are made from natural ingredients including pea protein, carrot, radish, barley and seaweed extract.

Full-flavoured Cornish soft cheese

 

The Cornish Cheese Company has introduced Dozmary, a soft cheese crafted for the speciality market. Dozmary is made with locally-sourced milk and has been developed as a bolder, more flavourful version of the company’s Cornish Camembert. The result is a full-flavoured, complex soft cheese rooted in the West Country’s rich cheesemaking tradition.

Iberico Tapilla for searing and sous-vide

 

Iberico Tapilla, a marbled, tender cut of meat from Iberico pigs, is newly available from Spanish foods importer Mevalco. Tapilla comes from the top part of the rump or cap of the collar and is suitable for searing, grilling or cooked sous-vide. The high level of intramuscular fat contributes to its rich and buttery flavour, with an exterior that caramelises to create a crispy finish.

Mexican flavour pulled chicken and beef

 

Funnybones Foodservice has added two flavoured pulled meats to its portfolio: La Mexicana Al Pastor Chicken and La Mexicana Birria Beef. Both are slow-cooked in the oven, with the chicken seasoned with a blend of achiote paste, chilli, garlic, oregano and cumin and sweet pineapple juice, and the beef flavoured with cumin, cloves and oregano. The meats come in a case of two 1kg packages, which can be reheated from frozen or defrosted and kept refrigerated for up to five days.
