Daring Foods, a US-based producer of plant-based chicken alternatives, has launched two new microwavable products: Diced and Shredded Plant Chicken. These products are designed to cater to consumers seeking quick, convenient, and nutritious plant-based protein options, ready in just four minutes. The new offerings are now available nationwide at Walmart and Albertsons across the United States.
Clean label, high protein
Each package of the Diced and Shredded Plant Chicken contains up to 45 grams of protein, with a short ingredient list that includes just soy protein concentrate, vegetable oil and various spices such as paprika and ginger. The company has noted that the products are 100% plant-based, gluten-free, and non-GMO.
These new plant-based options join Daring Foods’ existing line of unbreaded plant chicken products, which have gained popularity for their chicken-like texture. The Diced Plant Chicken, in particular, is described as versatile enough to be used in stir-fries, tacos, and protein bowls, while the Shredded Plant Chicken is more suited for sandwiches, wraps, and salads.
Acquisition positions Daring for growth
The launch of these products follows an important development for the company. In August 2025, Daring Foods was acquired by Australian plant-based meat company v2food. This acquisition, which includes a partnership with global food company Ajinomoto Co., is expected to bolster Daring’s resources and support the introduction of additional plant-based products in the US market. v2food’s proprietary food technology, combined with Ajinomoto’s food science expertise, will help expand the reach of Daring’s brand in the growing plant-based protein sector.
