ACCRO Launches Plant-Based Croques and Spicy Wings – vegconomist

French plant-based brand ACCRO has announced the launch of two new products — Croques and Spicy Wings.

The croques contain a creamy filling made with melting vegan cheese, and are encased in golden breading. They can be prepared within minutes in a pan or oven.

The Tex-Mex-style Spicy Wings are described as crispy and melt-in-the-mouth, with a touch of chilli. They can be dipped in chipotle or BBQ sauce as an appetiser, and are also quick to prepare.

Meat alternatives made with French ingredients

ACCRO was founded in 2019 in the Hauts-de-France region. The brand’s meat alternatives are all made with French wheat and pea proteins.

Currently, ACCRO offers around 20 products, including alternatives to minced meat, merguez sausage, kebab, and sliced meats. The brand is available at all major supermarkets in France, and at over 10,000 restaurants.

In May, ACCRO partnered with four other companies — Hari&Co, HappyVore, La Vie, and Swap Food — to form InterVeg, said to be France’s first coalition dedicated to plant-based food. The same month, the company appointed Rémi Cabrit as its new Chief Financial Officer.

“ACCRO, specialists in plant-based meat alternatives, are launching two ultra-indulgent new products that evoke cosy winter evenings,” says the company. “Crispy and melt-in-your-mouth recipes, delightfully nostalgic, designed to bring back the joy to the menu and always 100% plant-based.”
