CES 2018: The Top 10 Health and Fitness Products​

This powerful sensor slides under your regular mattress and monitors your heart rate, breathing, and movement while you sleep. That data is sent to Nokia’s Health Mate app—which is Alexa-compatible, by the way—where it’s translated into a “sleep score.” It’ll cost $99.95 and is slated to ship during Q1 of 2018.

Sleeping with this contraption on your head may seem a little out there, but it just might be worth it. The SmartSleep doesn’t just track your sleep; it detects when you’re entering a period of slow wave sleep, and uses customized audio tones to make that deep sleep even better. It’ll go on sale this spring for $399.99.

Sleep Number’s high-tech bed was back again at CES. The 360 Smart Bed tracks millions of biometric data points while you sleep, and uses them to produce a “Sleep IQ score” on your phone in the morning. The bed can also detect when you’re snoring and adjust the mattress position accordingly. The 360 Smart Bed is available from $2,799.

Both sporty and stylish, Misfit’s Android Wear touch screen smartwatch has heart rate monitoring, GPS connectivity, and is swim-proof and water resistant up to 50 meters. It’s available for $199.99.

Soon to be available in rose gold, Nokia’s Steel HR is one of the more attractive hybrid smartwatches out there. And get this: Its battery can last up to 25 days, depending on how frequently you measure your heart rate. The Steel HR is available from $179.95.

Under Armour knows it can be hard to integrate a new gadget into your daily routine, so it’s taken the fitness tracker off your wrist and put it in their high-tech running shoes. The brand’s latest smart shoes, HOVR Phantom and HOVR Sonic, will pair with MapMyRun to provide performance data like stride length and cadence, and they’ll feature a cushioning structure that’s soft and comfortable yet supportive. The Phantom and Sonic are available Feb. 1 for $140 and $110, respectively.

This headset isn’t just for listening to music. The Halo Neuroscience Sport sends electrical signals into the motor cortex to strengthen the connection between your brain and your muscles. The company says you’ll end up learning movements faster and make your reps more efficient. The headset is available for $749.

The next generation of SOLOS Smart Glasses lets cyclists and runners view their real-time performance metrics without having to glance down at their phones or fitness trackers. The glasses also let you listen to music and—if you’re exercising with other people—communicate with the rest of your group. They’ll be available in Q2 of 2018 for $499.

No piece of high-tech gym equipment stood out on the showroom floor quite like Peloton’s new treadmill. Fitness classes broadcast on the Tread’s 32-inch touchscreen monitor offer a fresh take on the traditional treadmill experience. It ships in fall of 2018 and is available for pre-order for $3,995.
