Manager, Michelle Brown, said: “It’s a brilliant boost for the whole team here- and we’re incredibly proud to be recognised alongside six other fantastic gyms.
“We know first-hand how much passion, consistency and care goes into running a great gym, so hats off to the other finalists. It’s inspiring to be part of such a committed fitness community.
“There’s no doubt that our amazing members and talented team make Zone what it is. From our instructors and front desk staff to every person who walks through the door ready to give it a go – you bring the energy, positivity and community spirit that set us apart.
“We’ve always seen Zone as more than just a gym. From day one, our goal has been to create a true health and fitness club – a place where people feel they belong.
“We offer state-of-the-art equipment, dedicated trainers, and a huge range of 70+ weekly classes, but it’s the sense of community, support, and positive atmosphere that helps every member, from first-timers to seasoned regulars, feel comfortable, motivated, and part of something bigger.
“We’re based on the Granby Trading Estate, which makes it really easy for people to pop in before work, on a lunch break, or after hours. It’s ideal for local workers, and thanks to great road links, we also welcome plenty of members from further afield. There’s loads of free parking, which makes life simple. Inside, we’re lucky to have an incredible range of high-spec kit, a wide range of classes, and bright, fully air-conditioned spaces designed for all kinds of workouts.
“And if you’re wondering where all that energy comes from – literally – our solar panels now generate around 50% of the electricity we use, and we even supply power to surrounding businesses and the grid. There’s real power in working out at Zone!
“Outside the club, we love supporting the wider Weymouth community, whether it’s through charity events, local partnerships or health initiatives that go beyond fitness.
This nomination is a lovely chance to look back on everything we’ve built – and to celebrate the amazing people who make it what it is. Win or not, we’re proud to be part of something bigger.
“Thanks to the Dorset Echo—and best of luck to all the finalists!
