These Gardener-Approved Hiking Shoes Are Now Only $75

When I’m gardening, I wear baggy overalls that I don’t mind dirtying up, but I still haven’t found the right gardening shoe for me. I know what you’re thinking: Hiking shoes, really? It’s exactly what I was thinking, too, but after looking more into the specifics of the Anylander, the choice makes so much more sense. Designed to withstand the elements, this shoe doesn’t ever need to touch a hiking trail in order to be useful. It’s outfitted with Adidas’ proprietary RAIN.RDY technology, which the brand calls a waterproof “breathable membrane that funnels water away.” Not only do you need that on the trails, but working in a garden center through rain or shine requires that feature, too. 

This version of the Terrex Anylander features a mid-top height cuff that provides extra support around your ankle while also shielding it from rain, water, mud, brush, or other elements that can splash or scratch through socks or pants. It likely also helps deter creepy crawlies, like ticks, from finding their way onto the skin, too. The shoe also has a gusseted tongue for the same reason, keeping feet as dry and comfortable as possible.

According to CamelCamelCamel, the Terrex Anylander is marked down to the lowest price it’s been in the last 30 days, and while all other colorways are quickly selling out (if they haven’t already), the olive strata/silver dawn/amber tint hue is still available in nearly every size. 

And given that it was just Earth Day, it’s also worth mentioning that the Terrex Anylanders are also partly made with recyclable materials in an effort to reduce waste and be kinder, overall, to the environment. The outsole also features a rubber outsole that’s outfitted with anti-slip lugs that firmly grip the ground no matter how unstable it is.
