AUSactive’s 6th annual Health & Fitness Industry Trends Survey is now open until 2nd June 2025 with all professionals across the active health, fitness, and wellness sectors urged to have their say.
The annual survey is a key tool in identifying anticipated trends across both commercial and community health and fitness settings – offering valuable insight into where the industry is headed in 2026.
Last year’s results saw ‘Fitness Programs for Older Adults’ claim the top spot, showing a growing industry focus on preventative health, wellbeing and inclusivity across all age groups.
But will 2026 follow similar patterns, or signal a new direction for the future of movement, physical activity and wellness?
AUSactive Chief Executive Barrie Elvish said members and broader industry are at the forefront of what’s happening on the ground.
Elvish noted “this survey provides the data that helps us understand where we’re going and how to stay relevant and we rely on those at the forefront of our industry to help identify these trends.
“The more people who take part, the more meaningful and accurate the insights become – and the more we can do to support Australians to live healthier, more active lives.”
The AUSactive Trends Survey contributes directly to the Health & Fitness Industry Trends Report, a respected global benchmark report that offers powerful insights for businesses, exercise professionals, policymakers and allied health stakeholders.
“Research and data are vital to the continued success and relevance of our industry,” Elvish added.
“By shaping this report, we’re not just watching the trends – we’re setting them.”
AUSactive encourages all business owners and managers, exercise professionals, allied health practitioners, and medical professionals involved in the active health sector to complete the survey and share it with peers.
Have your say before 2nd June 2025 and shape the future of fitness in Australia and beyond.
