French plant-based meat brand La Vie has launched a new aperitif range featuring five products.
The line includes mini sausages, which are said to contain half the amount of fat of their meat-based counterparts. The brand has also launched plant-based chorizo sticks, which provide a spicier option, and chiffonade-style ham slices.
“You’ve been asking for it for a while and you’ve been looking forward to it,” said La Vie on LinkedIn. “It took us a few years of work, but we absolutely wanted to be able to offer it to you. Today, we are very moved to unveil YOUR innovation, developed for you (and for our pig friends too): the best EVER community.”
The range is completed by plant-based croquetas, which consist of breaded balls of plant-based meat and cheese. They are available in two varieties — bacon and ham.
“Everyone will be able to share the same aperitif”
The launch comes after La Vie secured €25 million in 2024, taking the total amount it had raised to €50 million in three years. The company said it would use the funding to improve its existing plant-based deli products and develop new ones.
“With the new La Vie Apéro Veggie range, everyone will be able to share the same aperitif and get together around the same board, vegans and meat-eaters alike,” said La Vie on LinkedIn.
The new range is now available at Végétal Food and OFFICIAL VEGAN SHOP; it will also gradually roll out at Monoprix, Franprix, Carrefour, E.Leclerc, and Intermarché.
