Award-winning burger & brat chain files permit for first Columbus location

A Pasadena-based, award-winning burger & brat concept that both meat lovers and vegheads can get behind is finally coming to Columbus.

According to a Dog Haus press release earlier this year, four locations are expected to open in Central Ohio, and after much anticipation, a building permit has been filed to soon renovate 1574-1576 N. High St. in the Gateway University District for one of the new locations. The space has previously been a Kildare’s and a McFadden’s, two Irish pubs that closed.

Stay tuned for an opening date!

Dog Haus offers a diverse lineup of all-beef burgers and hotdogs with toppings ranging from haus slaw to smoked bacon, plus hand-crafted sausages, and fried chicken options, all served on King’s Hawaiian rolls. Not to mention giant breakfast burritos. Their meats are hormone and antibiotic free, according to their website. Sides include tots, fries, onion rings, haus slaw, and haus chili.

Their plant-based options are diverse as well – they offer two plant-based hotdogs, like the Impossible Brat, with sauerkraut, caramelized onions, and spicy brown mustard, and the Sooo Veggie, with an Impossible Brat, wild arugula, avocado, tomato, crispy onions, and spicy basil aioli, as well as an Impossible Burger and two Impossible breakfast burritos. Plus, two plant-based chicken sandwiches, vegan nuggets and tenders, and even an Impossible slider.

There are plenty of beer options to choose from as well.
