Looking to spice up your home? BRAVA magazine shares current home trends

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – BRAVA magazine dives into home and garden ideas for their May-June issue. It discusses how Madisonians can keep their homes cozy and still current.

Shayna Mace visited our studio on Tuesday and spoke to us about a few of the hot home trends.

Statement Title

Mace explained that statement tile can make a difference in small spaces. Whether it’s in your kitchen or bathroom, it can brighten a space and be a unique feature that grabs visitors’ attention.

Warm tones

Another trend that is in right now is warm tones. Mace said it’s a way to help make a room feel more intentionally designed. Homeowners can do this by using more woods tones in furniture pieces like cabinets and furniture.

Houseplants

Introduce the outside indoors! The new issue discusses how homeowners can weave in a bit of nature using plants. If you are looking to add more plants into your space, Mace encourages you to check out MSN Plant Collective. It’s a new houseplant shop on Monroe Street and offers a variety of options for your space.

Use your space

Bring creativity to a “dead wall”. Mace said homeowners are getting strategic by turning empty small spaces into something meaningful. This could be as simple as installing cabinetry or adding statement tile to a space like a drink fridge. It could even allow for more storage.
