The singer emphasized the importance of eating clean and staying consistent.
ATLANTA — TLC remains one of the best-selling American girl groups of all time, with over 85 million records sold worldwide. 11Alive got the chance recently to catch up with Rozonda Thomas from the group, famously known by her stage name Chilli.
She’s spent years in the public eye, and fans often compliment her youthful appearance. When it comes to looking and feeling her best, Chilli said it’s not about quick fixes — it’s a complete lifestyle shift.
“I eat right. I eat clean,” she shared.
In a one-on-one interview, Chilli opened up about her health and fitness routine, emphasizing the importance of staying consistent. She said when it comes to the popular idea of “cheat days,” she doesn’t believe in them.
“There’s no such thing as that. It’s all about a lifestyle change,” she said.
The Georgia native explained that using the word “diet” can set people up for disappointment.
“I don’t think people should say a diet because it gets in your head, and if you mess up, you’re upset with yourself,” she said. “It’s about changing slowly but surely.”

Movement is another non-negotiable in Chilli’s routine.
“You have to work out,” she said. “I don’t care what kind of workout it is — whether it’s weights, cardio, bike, dancing — you just have to keep moving.”
But it doesn’t stop there. To keep her body feeling its best, Chilli incorporates monthly chiropractic adjustments, red light therapy, and acupuncture into her self-care regimen.
As it relates to music and her career, Chilli said TLC is planning a major summer tour, bringing their timeless hits back to the stage for a new generation of fans. Plus, the group is working on a Broadway musical based on their inspiring journey.
