Dubai: The Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC) has revealed a bold new brand identity, celebrating its ongoing transformation of the city’s approach to health and wellness. The announcement was made during a special event recognising the support of government entities, schools, corporations, fitness partners, and community groups that have helped make the initiative a resounding success.
The ninth edition of DFC is set to take place from November 1 to 30, 2025, coinciding with the UAE’s Year of Community — a national campaign focused on collective wellbeing and unity.
Celebrating community impact and participation
Opening the ceremony, Khalfan Belhoul, Vice Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council and CEO of the Dubai Future Foundation, expressed gratitude to all individuals and organisations who contributed to the initiative’s growth. Reflecting on the journey so far, he noted that more than 13 million people have participated in DFC since its launch in 2017.
In his keynote address, Belhoul also shared his personal fitness journey, offering insights into the evolving landscape of sport and wellness in Dubai. He praised DFC for inspiring a citywide culture of activity, saying: “The success of the Dubai Fitness Challenge would not have been possible without the passion, energy, and commitment of our community. With 2025 declared the Year of Community, I am confident this year’s edition will once again unite friends, families, and organisations in the shared pursuit of a healthier lifestyle.”
Launched by visionary leadership
Founded by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, DFC was introduced to inspire every resident and visitor to commit to just 30 minutes of activity for 30 days.
What began as a motivational challenge has since evolved into a citywide movement. Participation has surged by over 200%, with people of all ages and backgrounds taking part in diverse activities across the city. The initiative supports the goals of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, positioning Dubai as a global leader in business, lifestyle, and wellbeing.
A bold new look for a bold mission
During the event, Ahmed Al Khaja, CEO of Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment, unveiled DFC’s refreshed visual identity. The new logo features vibrant colours and dynamic lines designed to reflect the initiative’s inclusive, energetic, and inspiring spirit — mirroring Dubai’s personality as a forward-thinking global city.
“DFC has transformed how our communities engage with fitness,” Al Khaja said. “It’s a shining example of how visionary leadership can turn ambition into lasting impact. Our new brand identity captures the energy and inclusivity of the movement and serves as a powerful call to action for the future.”
