Hilton Park Care Home residents celebrate health and fitness


Hilton Park Care Home spent May 28 celebrating Senior Health and Fitness Day.

They participated in various activities, including seated exercise, stretches, and yoga, tailored to different physical abilities.

This national day has been established to promote widespread awareness of the benefits of remaining active for seniors.

The initiative also underscores the significance of a balanced diet as part of a healthy lifestyle to prevent illnesses and enhance overall wellbeing.

General manager at Hilton Park Care Home, Geanina Tinca, said: “Senior Health and Fitness Day is a great opportunity to try something a little bit different.

“You never know until you try – you might find a brand-new hobby you really love.

“We have had a brilliant day trying out all kinds of new activities and the residents really enjoyed trying new things.

“We’ve all had a lot of fun, even some of our staff were put through their paces.”

Resident Dennis Johnson said: “I’m all for trying new things.

“I never thought I would go to a yoga class at my age but I absolutely loved it.
