Fardeen Khan lost 25 kilograms.
After a phenomenal performance in Heeramandi last year, Fardeen Khan returned to the big screen recently with Housefull 5. In a recent interview, the actor opened up about his weight loss journey. He revealed that he lost 25 kilograms, and he also spoke about how quitting alcohol helped him achieve his weight loss goals.
In a conversation with Cyrus Broacha, Fardeen Khan talked about his impressive weight loss journey. His incredible transformation has captured the attention of fans and the industry alike. After more than a decade away from the spotlight, the actor made a striking return in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi, where his significantly leaner frame sparked conversations online. Over the last few years, he’s shed close to 25 kilos – a feat he recently spoke candidly about. He said, “I was 102-103 at my heaviest. Not muscle. Good old body fat… as of last week, I am 78-79 now. Some 25 kilos off.”
Fardeen emphasised that this journey wasn’t solely about appearances. His primary motivation was reclaiming his health. Reflecting on the emotional impact of the weight gain, he admitted, “I didn’t feel like myself at all.” In an earlier interview with Zoom TV, the actor also opened up about being at the receiving end of brutal trolling when his appearance changed. “I was a worldwide trending topic at that time and not for the right reasons.”
How Giving Up Alcohol Changed Everything
One of the most pivotal shifts in his transformation journey came when he decided to cut out alcohol entirely. Fardeen shared that the turning point came in 2020, when he realised alcohol was taking a toll on both his well-being and daily life.
“I was sober in the early 2020s. That’s when I kicked the habit full on during the COVID-19 lockdown. I stopped in one go,” he recalled.
The benefits of quitting were almost immediate. He described how the mental fog began to lift for the first time in years. “I was feeling bloody 60 years old. Now, when you wake up, I feel clean, sober… I quit overnight, but coming to terms with your new life was a tough journey,” he shared.
Fardeen’s story is a powerful reminder that transformation is all about rediscovering clarity, strength, and a sense of self.
