Nevada County Veterans Service Office is seeking volunteers and vendors for the Second Annual Veteran’s Health and Wellness Fair in July.
The event is free to the public and will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 23 at the Grass Valley Veterans Hall at 255 South Auburn St. in Grass Valley.
It’s an opportunity for the County’s approximately 10,000 veterans, their families and survivors to learn about health services, veterans resources, housing services, benefit information, a job fair, therapy and treatment options, veterans’ groups, job opportunities, recreational programs and more.
“This is a good chance for veterans to learn about benefits they are entitled to,” said Veterans Service Officer David West. “Our goal is to ensure that every veteran has his or her family’s needs met across all aspects of human services.”
Music, free food, local veteran support organizations, businesses and vendors plus educational presentations will round out the day. Friends and family are welcome.
