Spelthorne: Series of walks to improve health and fitness

The NHS recommends that people should participate in at least 150 minutes of moderate physical activity every week.

Regular walking can reduce stress, improve sleep, reduce blood pressure, and help to manage weight, according to the NHS.

As well as the volunteer-led walks, there are also seven self-led walks around Spelthorne with instructions and maps available.

The routes vary in length and the Stanwell Village walk is accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs, the council spokesperson says.

A walk pack is available to pick up from libraries and the council offices, they added.
