How to Find the Best Amazon Spring Sale Deal
While there are of course many legitimate savings to be had, many seemingly discounted products you see during online sales events are not actually any cheaper than they usually are and, in some cases, retailers hike their prices up leading up to sale just to reduce them back to their original price. Thankfully, there are some simple ways to verify the deals you spot:
- Amazon Offers: Firstly, Amazon often runs things like ‘Lightning Deals’ and ‘Limited Time Deals’ which sometimes guarantees that those products are reduced to their lowest prices over a certain time frame. That’s your first safety net.
- Price Trackers: The second, which is the one I use no matter what time of year it is, is Amazon price history trackers. I like the CamelCamelCamel browser plug-in, as it tells you every price a product has been on Amazon for as long as it’s been listed on the site. It’s not always perfect, but it is in most cases – and it’s free.
- Retailers: Your final line of defence is to compare prices across other retailers. It only takes a quick Google search, but it can tell you a lot about how genuine a price drop actually is. If a product catches your eye and it’s 50% off on Amazon, but it’s available for the same price at other retailers, it’s probably not as good a deal as it appears.
