Plant-based eating is on the rise, and thanks to some stellar chefs around the area, St. Louis diners have plenty of options when it comes to a good vegan burger. Some are mainstays and some run as limited-time specials, but all of the choices below are delicious. 

No matter what you call it, vegan chicken sandwiches are a staple item on the menu at many of St. Louis’ plant-based restaurants. 

The South City watering hole is a favorite for people who want stellar cocktails and delicious food, and its menu is the classic something-for-everyone variety. Included in The Royale’s main dishes section is the veggie burger, for which the restaurant utilizes Hungry Planet burger patties. Prepared vegetarian – with white cheddar, lettuce, tomatoes, onions and pickles on brioche with Billy Goat chips – or vegan – with vegan cheese and ciabatta bread – it’s a must-try.
